Campus life

WBS is the largest department of the University of Warwick. As a campus university, all the facilities are central and there are plenty of opportunities to study and play hard.

The University of Warwick Library is open seven days a week during term. It offers you access to over one million books, 10km of archives, 25,000 electronic periodicals and a Modern Records Centre. The online collections are almost unparalleled by any other international university. They offer you access to the full text of tens of thousands of academic and business journals and periodicals, and to thousands of company, industry, and market reports.

The Learning Grid is a unique, integrated learning landscape for individual and group working. Open 24/7 it features digital multimedia, reference material, careers information, wireless networking, video editing, cleverboards, networked PCs, video players, plasma screens, Internet points, and presentation rooms so you can work anytime you like.

We have superb sporting and leisure facilities on campus:

Warwick Arts Centre is an important focus of cultural life on campus for students, staff, and the general public. It's one of the UK's largest centres for the performing arts. The facilities there include two theatres, concert hall, film theatre, gallery, and music centre.

And then there's the Students' Union. Warwick SU is one of the largest in Europe and is home to over 200 societies. It features eight bars, three performance venues, cafes, restaurants, welfare and advice centre, and several flexible spaces that function as clubs, marketplaces, and gathering points.

There's a large supermarket on campus, as well as a bookshop, hairdresser, banks, travel agent, chemist, launderette, bars, cafes and restaurants. Everything you could need is right on your doorstep.
