Three years flew by

At school I had a clear intention to study a business-related degree and naturally looked at all the top business schools. I was keen to study somewhere other than London, my home town, and WBS was the perfect answer.

On the Open Day I was impressed by the relaxed, well-kept nature of the campus which made me feel at home straight away. The flexibility and variety of courses on offer only served to confirm my initial conclusion that WBS was the place for me.

Being part of a campus university, it naturally has a friendly, unpretentious air about it and a good environment to foster close friendships. It really has something for all types of student. For the out-going types there were always countless clubs and societies and an active Students' Union.. If that was not your scene, there were quiet areas like Tocil Lake to escape to. Three years simply flew by.

Job prospects on leaving WBS were excellent - one only needed to see the number of employers attending our milk rounds. A large proportion of my class had job offers prior to graduation, and some of us, myself included, were even in a position to pick which offer to accept.

I'm now a trainee Chartered Accountant with KPMG London, specialising in the financial sector. I enjoy my work immensely and it is certainly not the stereotype image that most people have of accountancy.

I'm proud to be a WBS graduate!
