Learn a language

WBS recognises that a second language is increasingly seen as an essential skill for professionals. It is a compulsory part of our BSc in International Business, and available as an elective option on the other degrees.

Languages are either taught by the University of Warwick's state of the art Language Centre, or via the relevant University department. Modules in Arabic, French, Chinese (Mandarin), German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Russian are usually available. These undergraduate modules count for credit towards your degree.

All four language skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing are taught and form part of the assessment schemes. Fluency of language and accuracy are both very important. You would be expected to attend all language classes and to devote as much time to your study of a foreign language as your other modules.

The Language Centre also offers a range of languages for leisure at various levels.
