My internship with IBM was a brilliant experience

I was based at IBM Hursley, one of the largest research labs in Europe. It also houses some of IBM's core software portfolio including CICS, which is responsible for handling around 90 per cent of ATM transactions across the world.

We worked on the next generation of the internet, where you will no longer see pages of text, animation, and images, but a three dimensional immersive world. Through the project we came up with several new technologies for which we have now submitted patent applications.

The people I worked with this summer were all incredibly interesting individuals. Some of them accepted job offers in very interesting areas of IBM. I suspect most of them will be working on ground-breaking technologies and shaping the future of IBM and technology in the world.
