Innovation & Corporate Entrepreneurship

Programme structure

Over three distinct days you will learn both theory and practice, while working on your personal innovation initiatives. The course will include case studies, interactive tools and discussion, to create specific outcomes for your organisation. 

The course will be taught online through live delivery, via our bespoke platform my.wbs, which powers our highly ranked Distance Learning MBA. This will allow immediate actionable learning, and group interaction.

Day 1

6 September 2022

  • Exploring the innovation value chain
  • Developing an innovation strategy 
  • Exploring ambidexterity.

Case study discussions:

  • Innovation and sustainability in a former state-owned enterprise
  • Systematic innovation processes work, including city government.

Day 2

  • Why is this so difficult? The dominant logics, innovator’s dilemma, and the winner’s curse 
  • Business models, lean startup process.

Simulation exercise:

  • Emerging business opportunities at IBM.
