As part of the University of Warwick, we have a long standing reputation for innovation. Our desire to do things differently lies in our foundations, research and our methods of teaching. This is evidenced by our research in areas such as Big Data and Behavioural Science, in the way leadership and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) is embedded in, rather than added on, to the Warwick Full-time MBA and in our teaching which uses scenarios and elements of acting to discover new approaches to the biggest business issues.
Entrepreneurial in spirit and practice, we break new ground with our research. We constantly challenge ourselves to take teaching and learning beyond the classroom by bringing in leading experts as Professors of Practice and visiting lecturers. Our real world knowledge married with our inter-disciplinary, global research enables us to build valuable links with international organisations like Amazon, Gallup and Capco.

We are one of the few institutions to offer an assessed module in leadership. LeadershipPlus enables you to reflect on what you personally stand for while preparing you to lead, manage and influence other people successfully. As part of this experience, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your leadership skills within a live business context. As part of a group you will undertake a client project over a period of nine weeks with a corporate, SME or not-for-profit organisation, investigating a current business issue and presenting practical recommendations to the problem posed. You will also have access to unlimited one-to-one coaching with the careers team throughout the year.
The role of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors is becoming increasingly important to businesses and their customers everywhere. This is leading to an increased demand for corporate leaders with the ability to integrate ESG factors into their overarching business practice, and shifting the traditional methods of value creation towards the concept of the triple bottom line. This is why we have integrated ESG across all eight core modules of our Full-time MBA. This approach allows you to address this complex, multidimensional subject from different angles depending on the discipline in which it is contextualised. You will also have the opportunity to specialise further in the area of ESG through dedicated elective modules.
Some of our Full-time MBA participants have joined us with the aim of setting up or developing an existing business venture. Many have gone on to do remarkable things, from bringing safe bio-fuel to homes in South Africa to developing a non-invasive test that will help people find out quickly and easily if they have diabetes. We offer students the opportunity to specialise their MBA within entrepreneurship where two elective modules and final dissertation will focus on this specialist area.
You will have at least two opportunities to work on client-based projects during your year with us, enabling you to gain practical consultancy, stakeholder management and influencing skills through direct experience. These can be used as a route into new sectors and industries. We will also introduce you to companies, such as Microsoft, Williams F1 and JP Morgan, through recruiter events, student projects and teaching support.
Creativity and innovative thinking, along with traditional analytical skills, are a must in the business world, whether your vision is to establish your own start-up or join a major corporate in a leadership role. You will have opportunities to identify and pitch ideas to companies like the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), participating in an acting workshop and visiting the RSC theatre in nearby Stratford Upon Avon.
Our dedicated CareersPlus team will work with you to ensure an excellent return on investment. Personal development and career planning is fully integrated throughout the Full-time MBA.
