Entry Requirements

Academic record
Candidates must have an upper second class honours degree at undergraduate level from a UK university or the equivalent from an overseas university.

Applications are also welcomed from candidates who do not have the academic qualifications but are exceptional, with a proven ability to achieve.

English Language: All of our programmes are delivered in English so, if English is not your first language, you have not graduated from an English speaking university or worked in an English speaking environment for at least two years you must demonstrate a minimum overall standard in the following recognised tests of English.  The certificate will be required as evidence.

  • IELTS (Academic): 7.0 - all four language components have to be scored 6.0+, with maximum of two components at lowest level 6.0 or 6.5
  • PTE: 70 - with 51+ in every section
  • CAE: Grade B – overall score 190 with 2 x 170 and 2 x 190
  • CPE: Grade B – overall score 190 with 2 x 170 and 2 x 190
  • TOEFL: 100 – minimum component scores: Listening 21, Reading 22, Writing 21, Speaking 23


Candidates must have at least four years’ work experience in a relevant healthcare environment.

Technical requirements
The MSc in Strategic Leadership & Innovation in Healthcare is delivered 100% online and incorporates online text, multimedia, discussion forums and live webinar sessions. You will therefore require a stable and relatively high speed internet connection, an up-to-date web browser, the ability to listen to sound (a headset or speakers), and a microphone for taking part in live online webinars and group work. You can access the content of the programme on many devices, include desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile.

If you intend to access the programme from a workplace you should ensure that you will not have access restricted by organisational firewalls or policies.
