In today’s competitive job market you need to stand out from the crowd; employers will take notice if you demonstrate employability skills. That is why we will encourage you to gain work experience when you are not studying. You also have the opportunity to extend your degree to four years and take an intercalated year working in industry.
Whether you wish to gain work experience or extend your degree for an intercalated year, our dedicated CareersPlus team will be on hand to support you by providing advice and guidance on finding a placement and helping you with your application.
Here are some examples of the companies our students have worked at while on this course:
Interested in Accounting?
If you want to work in accounting, you can apply for a placement on our Undergraduate Partnership Programme. In collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we participate in the Undergraduate Partnership Programme which enables selected students to gain experience professional work experience during an intercalated year. This involves working in an accounting role with an ICAEW member organisation during the third year of the course.
Depending on the organisation, you may also be able to take professional ACA exams during the placement, which will form the first year of the ACA training contract. You can work in the UK or overseas, before returning to Warwick Business School for the final year of the course. The programme forms 10% of the overall degree classification.
