Diversity Awareness Workshop

Registration Required

Diversity Awareness Workshop

Saturday 16th May from 9.30-12.30pm at The Shard, London

with Katie Day, a training consultant specialising in corporate leadership, values, vision and communication as well as an author and global speaker on women in business.

Diversity is one of those words that can have so many different meanings and raises so many questions:

  • How similar is it to equal opportunities?
  • Who needs to know?
  • Why should we be bothered?

It can all be exhausting, not only for HR Managers, but for everyone.

This is a half day interactive and informative workshop that quickly raises the awareness of diversity within the workplace and within our lives generally. It provides food for thought and a balanced view of how to incorporate diversity within your everyday life without getting bogged down with political correctness. It takes the confusion out of diversity, and covers the following:

  • What is and isn’t diversity and the difference between diversity and equal opportunities
  • Inclusion and exclusion – what does this mean?
  • What is the culture within your organisation?
  • What can you do to make a difference and why should you bother?
  • The exploration of behaviour and unconscious bias
  • Changing places – experiencing life from someone else’s perspective
  • Harassment and bullying – understanding the difference and what you can do about it
  • Action points to take forward

Ticket price for this event is £20 - select 'Book this event' to attend.

If you are also interested the Leadership and Decision Making for Teams Under Pressure Workshop in the afternoon, you can attend both for £30. This price includes lunch. These tickets can be purchased from here - please scroll to the bottom of the page.
