Distance Learning MBA (2021-25)

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a senior digital marketing professional specialised in paid search. My experience expands across large and small digital marketing agencies and some of Britain’s most-known heritage brands and large corporates. Originally from Spain, London has been my home for over eight years now.

What first attracted you to Warwick Business School?
I decided to enrol in the WBS MBA to develop my skills as I transitioned into leadership roles. Due to work commitments, I chose the Distance Learning MBA. However, I wanted an element of face-to-face interaction as that is valuable to me. While researching, Warwick Business School stood out due to its reputation, the face-to-face component, and its top position across key MBA rankings. To me, it was the clear winner.

What elements of the programme do you value the most and why?
I recently attended Warwick Week at the Shard in London. It was a fantastic experience. I met some outstanding people, had some fascinating conversations and learnt a lot. In any MBA, the calibre of the students is essential, and I was not disappointed when I met with my cohort.

WBS did a great job facilitating Warwick Week, and there was a lot of preparation and effort put into its delivery. I was impressed from day one. These opportunities to meet and network with other students and attend face to face classes are highly valuable in a Distance Learning MBA.

What is it like studying for an MBA? How did you find the work/life balance?
Studying for an MBA is hard work! To be up to date with the lessons and readings, you must dedicate a few hours every day or else you fall behind. It is intense but undoubtedly worth it. I am learning a lot and have started to put those learnings into practice in my current role.

Do you have any advice for anyone currently thinking about studying for an MBA?
My advice to anyone thinking about doing an MBA would be to go for it. It is intense, but the level of conversations with other students and the knowledge you gain from the whole experience outdoes any effort.
