Warwick Executive Network: How to build a proactive workforce

As competition intensifies, as customer demands become more complex and the way we work becomes more unpredictable, organisations increasingly depend on proactive employees who take initiative and look ahead. Yet all too often employees wait to see what happens rather than taking charge of problems or improving procedures because they feel that "this is not my job".

This workshop looks at the different ways in which employees can be proactive, and the conditions that facilitate proactivity in an organisation’s workforce. We will explore the costs and benefits of employee proactivity, and the specific challenges leaders face in this context.

The work will allow you to:
· Reflect on how proactive your workforce currently is, and detect areas for improvement
· Identify steps your organisation can take today to boost proactivity in your organisation
· Anticipate and prevent potential pitfalls of proactivity

*This Workshop is part of the Warwick Executive Network series and is open to Exclusive Network Members only.
