Promoting Creativity and Innovation in Yourself and Others

The capacity to be creative as an individual and within a team is becoming increasingly important as organizations seek to be more innovative. Outside of a few key departments, such as R&D, most employees don’t believe they have the capacity to be creative, or that their job requires creative thought. However, organizations can see great benefits by promoting creativity and innovation amongst all their employees – through not just new products and services, but also through small, incremental process changes in how the work is done.

In this workshop, we will discuss the benefits of promoting creativity and innovation and provide participants with     techniques for not only improving their own creativity and innovation, but also leading others to be more creative and innovative. This will include leadership at the team level as well as things organizational leaders can do to foster a more innovative environment.

The workshop will allow you to:

  • Evaluate the current innovation conditions within your team and organization and create strategies for improving it
  • Understand the benefits and challenges of promoting creativity and innovation within teams and the organization
  • Practice techniques for individual and team creativity
