Resolving Conflicts in International Buyer-Supplier Relationships

This talk focuses on a research study investigating the impact and interplay of formal and informal governance mechanisms and their functions in mitigating conflicts in international buyer-supplier relationships. The study deploys a rare multi-level and dyadic analysis by focusing on boundary-spanners and inter-organisational relationships. An organisational information processing theory (OIPT) perspective is deployed to examine individual roles and complementary effects of governance mechanisms when addressing inter-organisational conflicts. Rich datasets were collected from Indian suppliers and their international buyers across three different cultural clusters.

A light lunch will be provided before the event, for registered attendees.
