International Executive Development Programme

International Executive Development Programme

WBS is excited to launch the IEPD.  Over 5 days IEPD participants will learn how to better understand the global business cycle, how to improve M&A strategies and M&A decision making and how to improve firm performance at the local and global level. You will explore new models of leadership, and identify the personal biases in thinking that can block high quality decision making.

Led by world-class thought leaders from Warwick Business School the IEDP programme uses a range of approaches to interpret and manage the challenges created by uncertainty and translate these into opportunities through improved decision making. This programme has particular relevance to the economic uncertainty created by Brexit.

Day 1: Global business cycle, company performance and investment decisions

You will gain a detailed understanding of the global business cycle, its implications for performance and how to use macroeconomic data provided by the central banks and international institutions.  Given recent events in the UK there is probably no better time to listen, challenge, reflect and share your expertise around key short, medium and long term strategic and investment decisions.

Day 2: The real value of business for mergers, acquisitions and managing investors

This gives you an end-to-end understanding of the M&A decision making process and enhances your ability to judge whether a merger or acquisition fits with your corporate and value enhancement strategy while predicting the impact on investor perceptions. This includes a visit to the Bank of England.

Day 3: Leadership, context culture in decision making

This will accelerate your journey towards a leadership approach that fits with the unpredictability of the current and future international environment.  You will gain greater clarity of your situation, achieve higher levels of team engagement and improve decision quality to maximise the potential of existing opportunities.

Day 4: Globalisation and managing global-local tensions within international firms

This enables you to build your knowledge of the key globalization themes and the future trends that are most likely to impact both local and global organisations in the short to medium term. This program explores mobility within the global firm and surfaces the key challenges of managing talent and interacting with clients internationally.

Day 5: Behavioural science for leaders

You will gain a deepunderstanding of how individuals and organizations can work together more effectively in today’s disruptive and uncertain global economy. By understanding hidden biases, you will be able to make more informed and effective decisions and in turn build and lead higher performing teams.

The IEDP is a programme for today, allowing immediate practical application back in your organisations.
