Women in Finance: Warwick Workshop

The workshop program covers one full day starting at 8:30am and finishing 6:15pm or with the option of a networking dinner finishing at 8:30pm. We start with a keynote speech by Professor Renée Adams, University of Oxford, which will be followed by presentations and discussions by UK (with one exception) female academics with three sessions on Corporate Finance, Asset Pricing, and Gender issues (3 papers each), and a panel discussion on the topic of Careers in Finance. For details see the program here.

The main idea of the workshop is to bring together UK women in Finance in a stimulating research and social environment. Our aspiration is to establish the UK Women in Finance Network and for the Warwick workshop to be the first meeting in a series of recurring annual events, with rotating host schools across the UK. The event is about support and networking.

We aim at as wide participation as possible. The registration fee is £40 for the workshop and extra £40 for the networking dinner. The registration is on first come first serve principle.

We acknowledge financial support from the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee of Warwick Business School and Academic Female Finance Committee of the American Finance Association (AFFECT).
