What are the benefits of Executive Education?

Our short Executive Education programmes provide you with the opportunity to enhance your strategic, leadership, and management capabilities, whilst also benefiting your business. You will be encouraged to bring your real-world organisational challenges to the classroom and develop solutions through insights from our world renowned WBS faculty, industry guests, and your peers. Executive Education also offers the opportunity for you to expand your professional networks and foster connections with peers and industry leaders.

Who should consider an attending an Executive Education programme?

These programmes are designed for mid-level to senior professionals, including senior managers, directors, executives, and entrepreneurs, who aim to elevate their careers and enhance their strategic thinking and leadership skills. Participants attend our programmes from across the world and from numerous industries including Finance, Healthcare, Consulting, Non-Profits and many more.

How do Executive Education programmes differ from traditional degrees?

Our Executive Education programmes are shorter than a traditional degree and are often taught across 3 or 5 day workshops. Our programmes blend rigorous academic insights with practical, real-world applications, and the content delivered is more tailored to the specific needs of experienced professionals.

Is accommodation included?

Typically accommodation is not included in the programme fee, but please check the fees section on our individual programme pages for the most up to date information. We would be happy to recommend a number of local hotels to The Shard and we have accommodation available at Warwick Conferences for our Warwick based programmes.

Are there any discounts available?

Discounts are available on a case by case basis, please get in touch with our Business Development Team at execed@wbs.ac.uk to discuss what may be available to you. We welcome applications from corporate partners and are pleased to offer discounts for multiple participants.

How do I join an Executive Education programme?

You can apply to join any of our Executive Education programmes via our portal. Applying is quick and easy, with no references required. If you have any questions about a programme please get in touch with our Business Development Team or attend one of our upcoming events.

What if I need to cancel my place on the programme?

You have 14 days, from the date your place on an Open Programme is confirmed, to cancel your place for any reason and be entitled to a refund (the ‘Cooling-Off Period’), subject to the terms set out below.

To cancel your place on the Open Programme you have booked, you must notify the University in writing in advance of the programme start date by emailing executive.education@wbs.ac.uk.

If you can no longer attend the Open Programme you have booked but would still like to participate, you may be able to transfer your booking to an alternative Open Programme running on a different date, subject to the terms set out below under ‘What if I want to transfer between programmes after I have booked?'.

If you wish to cancel your place on an Open Programme after the expiry of the Cooling-Off Period, the following cancellation charges will apply depending on when notice of cancellation is received:

More than 42 days before the Open Programme start date: no cancellation charge will apply. If you have already paid the Programme Fee, you will be entitled to a full refund.

29 to 42 days before the Open Programme start date: a cancellation charge equal to 25% of the Programme Fee will apply. If you have already paid the Programme Fee, you will be entitled to a refund of 75% of the Programme Fee.

15 to 28 days before the Open Programme start date: a cancellation charge equal to 50% of the Programme Fee will apply. If you have already paid the Programme Fee, you will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the Programme Fee.

0 to 14 days before the Open Programme start date: a cancellation charge equal to 100% of the Programme Fee will apply. If you have already paid the Programme Fee, no refund will be available.

If you do not attend an Open Programme, 100% of the Programme Fee will be retained by the University as a cancellation charge.

Please note that no part of the Programme Fee will be refunded or can be used towards payment for another Open Programme if you only partially attend an Open Programme.

Cancellation and transfer fees are charged on the basis that there are limited opportunities to offer places to other participants as the start date of the Open Programme approaches.

What if I want to transfer between programmes after I have booked?

You may transfer to the same Open Programme being delivered at a later date or to a different Open Programme taking place within twelve (12) months of the start date of the original Open Programme, at no additional cost, provided you notify the University by emailing executive.education@wbs.ac.uk of your wish to do so (a “Notice of Transfer”) more than 42 days before the start date of the original Open Programme.

If a Notice of Transfer is received by the University 42 days or less before the start date of the original Open Programme, you will be required to pay the University a fee (“Transfer Fee”) in addition to the Programme Fee. The Transfer Fee will be calculated as the applicable percentage of the Programme Fee shown in the table below.

In the event of a transfer, the cancellation charges set out in ‘What if I need to cancel my place on the programme' above will not apply. A transfer may only be made if:

There are available places on a later cohort or alternative Open Programme to which you wish to transfer; and

You confirm the later cohort or alternative Open Programme you wish to transfer to within two (2) weeks of making your transfer request. If you do not provide confirmation within this period, your request will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation terms set out in these FAQs will apply.

The Transfer Fees referred to above must be paid within 14 days of receiving the invoice from the University.

If the Programme Fee for a later cohort or alternative Open Programme increases before the start date of that programme, you will be required to pay the amount of the increase before the programme begins.

If you transfer to an alternative Open Programme and the Programme Fee for that alternative Open Programme is higher than the Programme Fee you have already paid, you must pay the difference before the alternative Open Programme you are transferring to begins. If the Programme Fee for the alternative Open Programme is lower than the Programme Fee you have already paid, we will refund the difference to the original payment method within 30 days of confirming the transfer.

Please note that you may only transfer your booking once. Further transfers will not be permitted.

Will I need a visa to attend the programme?

Our Executive Education programmes are delivered over short periods and typically do not qualify for a student visa. However, you may need a visa to travel to the UK. Please check the visa requirements for your specific country. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with obtaining visas.
