What you'll study on your fintech Master's degree

Our MSc in fintech is a one-year, full-time programme that balances core financial foundations with practical, technical tools.

Over three terms, you will complete seven compulsory modules and select two optional modules, finishing with a dissertation or applied project. You will master core technologies like blockchain and distributed ledgers, algorithmic trading, cybersecurity, and data science, all while building a strong foundation in regulation, compliance, and ethical AI.

There is also a unique FinTech in Practice module that offers the chance to fine-tune the skills learned during the course in a realistic, situational format. This includes a series of trips to our base at The Shard, London, where you’ll be exposed to FinTech companies presenting live business models and challenges for you to resolve and pitch back to them.

MSc Financial Technology entry requirements

To earn a place on this top-tier Master's in financial technology, we are looking for curious, driven individuals ready to innovate.

You will need:

• A 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent from a UK university, or an overseas equivalent.
• Applications are welcomed from all disciplines. However, some familiarity with Python and quantitative skills will be highly advantageous.
• If English is not your first language, an IELTS (Academic) overall score of 7.0 is required.

MSc Financial Technology fees and funding

2027 entry

• UK students: £37,200
• EU/International students: £46,500

Your tuition fee includes registration, tuition, examinations, graduation and travel and accommodation for the module trips to The Shard, London. To secure your place, you'll need to pay a £3,000 deposit within four weeks of receiving your offer. This deposit forms part of your total tuition fee.

Scholarships and other funding options are available to help you finance your MSc Financial Technology. Warwick Business School offers a range of Master's scholarships, with awards of up to 50% of tuition fees for eligible candidates. You may also be able to access postgraduate funding or finance your studies through external providers, depending on your circumstances.
