Biography
I hold a PhD and a Master’s in Business and Management from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), and a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade from the University of Itajaí Valley (UNIVALI), both in Brazil. I am currently a Professor of Strategy and International Business at Warwick Business School (WBS), University of Warwick.
With more than a decade of teaching experience in both Brazil and the UK, I bring a strong combination of academic expertise and practical industry knowledge to my role. Before joining academia, I worked for ten years in multinational corporations as a foreign trade analyst and also as a international market consultant, supporting SMEs in their international expansion.
I teach modules at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA levels, with a focus on strategy and international business.
My research focuses on Strategy as Practice, Open Strategy, and International Business Strategy, and my work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Strategy and Management. I am also a member of the Strategising: Social Practices and Processes research group in Brazil.
I have received several recognitions for my work, including the Guerreiro Ramos Award, WBS’s Outstanding Contribution to Teaching Award and Higher Education Contribution at University of Warwick.
I am also currently serving as Teaching and Learning Lead for the Strategy and International Business (SIB) group at WBS, contributing to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation. In addition, I act as a University Ambassador, promoting Warwick globally and supporting student recruitment initiatives.
