WBS CareersPlus service
We offer you a comprehensive pre-arrival, student, and alumni careers service. You will have access to one-to-one career guidance appointments, CV checks and tailored mock interviews.
Workshops & guidance
You will have the opportunity to attend workshops covering CVs and application forms, looking for jobs, networking, interviews and assessment centres in Term 1, and access to a careers coach with specialist knowledge of your course.
Additional workshops including networking, CVs and cover letters and assessment centres, are also provided throughout the year.
Masters in Business courses – Business in Practice
If you choose the Business in Practice route for your final assessment, rather than the traditional dissertation route, you will work in teams on a two-week business simulation, setting up and running your own virtual company and competing against other teams. Academic lectures, skills training and other activities will help you develop practical business skills that you can put into practice in the simulation. The Business in Practice route also offers you the opportunity to do a summer internship, which you will need to find yourself but with guidance and support from CareersPlus.
