Business Leader Series: Steve Ingham

Ever wondered how Great Britain has been transformed from lying 36th on the medal table at the 1996 Olympics to becoming a sporting superpower and taking 2nd at the Rio Games? Dr Steve Ingham has worked with over a 1000 athletes of which 200 have gone on to win world or Olympic medals. He has worked with some of the Olympic Greats such as Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Matthew Pinsent and shares the insights of how you go about creating and sustaining winning performances. Steve was also the Director of Science for the 'team behind the team' and will share the strategies used to galvanise, and focus the team to becoming the best. In so doing Team GB, became the first nation to win more medals after hosting the games, the first nation to win more medals at five successive games and winning more medals in more events than any other nation.

Our Business Leader Series was originally created to mark the 50th Anniversary of WBS.  It was so well-received by both speakers and guests alike, we are delighted to have extended the Series for a second year.

Following the success of his recent talk at WBS The Shard, we are thrilled that Steve Ingham, Director and Performance Scientist at Supporting Champions will be joining us at our Warwick campus on Thursday 12th April to give his Business Leader Series lecture.
