On the up: The Executive MBA can be studied in Warwick or at WBS London at The Shard

Warwick Business School’s Executive MBA has been ranked in the world’s top 10 by higher education analysts QS.

The School has climbed five places to 10th globally in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2025 and seen a notable rise regionally, moving up to sixth in Europe and third in the UK.

The improvement in the ranking - which saw 205 programmes analysed globally, up from 194 last year - is down to WBS maintaining a strong position in many areas, with rises in key metrics, including the School’s reputation with employers.

Andy Lockett, Dean of WBS and Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, said: “This remarkable achievement underscores our Executive MBA’s excellence and its growing reputation on the international stage.

“It reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students, while it also underscores our commitment to providing a world-class education. The Executive MBA arms participants with the latest knowledge, research and tools, as well as honing their leadership skills, which are all needed more than ever in today’s uncertain global environment.

“WBS is for the Change Maker, and we believe business can be a power for good, with our students driven by a desire to change the world for the better.”

The Executive MBA can be studied at the School’s Warwick campus or at WBS London at The Shard, with the four-day modules enabling students to take what they learn straight into their place of work.

Indeed, the final dissertation or strategic consulting project forms the pinnacle of their studies, drawing together all the knowledge gained on the MBA and applying it to practical problems in an organisation.

Alongside the required modules, that range from strategy to finance and leadership, students can choose to specialise within social and environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, or healthcare by selecting certain elective modules.

Hossam Zeitoun, Associate Professor (Reader) and Course Director for the Executive MBA, highlighted the factors contributing to the programme's success.

"It is designed to offer a rigorous and comprehensive education that combines academic excellence with practical experience,” said Dr Zeitoun. “The rise in our employer reputation score and the sustained high scores in alumni promotions and managerial experience are clear indicators of the programme's impact.

“We are also continuously working to enhance our curriculum and careers and support services to ensure our students receive the best possible education.

“The rise of our Executive MBA in the QS rankings is a significant achievement that reflects the programme’s quality and the dedication of its community. With continued efforts to innovate and excel, we are well-positioned to maintain our status as a leading institution for business education.”
