Lisa joined Warwick Business School in 2017. She is currently Associate Dean (Pedagogy) and a member of WBS Senior Management Group.

Lisa is professionally qualified (ICAEW), spent several years in audit practice with Deloitte and was part of the national audit training faculty at KPMG. Lisa specialises in designing and delivering modules on topics related to corporate reporting and audit, from basic financial literacy for non-specialists to advanced courses on topics such as the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Integrated Reporting. Lisa also designs and delivers online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for qualified accountants, and has provided one-to-one coaching to senior finance professionals on specific matters impacting their role, often focussing on the implementation of IFRS. Lisa has strong links with the accountancy professional bodies, and carries out external work for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Before joining Warwick Business School, Lisa was a Senior Teaching Fellow and Programme Director at Aston Business School. In 2015 Lisa was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in recognition of her excellence in teaching practice and commitment to building the development of professional skills and competencies into academic teaching.

In 2019, along with colleagues from Aston University and De Montford University, Lisa was shortlisted for the prestigious Finance for the Future Awards, in recognition of developing an educational business simulation incorporating aspects of sustainability.

Although Lisa is UK based, she has worked in accounting education in many countries in the EU and further afield in the Far East and in the Caribbean. Lisa has presented CPD courses globally, spending considerable time in Hong Kong and China.
