Many organisations champion the quest for achieving customer loyalty. In this session we will examine conceptualisations of customer loyalty and critically consider the importance of customer loyalty for organisations today. Customer Experience (CX) is a fast developing field and it is important to (re)consider consumers relationships with brands, the importance of consumer emotions and advocacy. In this session we will question what is important from a customer’s perspective, and highlight key trends Marketing and CX professionals need to consider to ensure the delivery of value to their customers.

Dr Laura Chamberlain

Dr. Laura Chamberlain is Associate Professor of Marketing at Warwick Business School and Course Director of MSc Marketing & Strategy. Laura is particularly interested in Consumer Behaviour and Customer Experience and researching the importance of consumer emotions, trust, loyalty and how to influence customer’s behaviour. Laura also researches consumer neuroscience, using neuroscientific techniques to further our understanding of consumers. Laura’s research has been published in highly ranked international journals and was identified as one of ‘fifteen scientists tackling the world’s most pressing problems’ in the first edition of Eureka, the science supplement of The Times newspaper. Laura has won awards for teaching excellence and is the founder of the Marketing Insights Series; a suite of events is designed to bridge the worlds of academia and industry to shape, inspire and inform the marketing leaders of the future.
