Feeding back: Undergraduates gave WBS 88.8 per cent for Student Voice in the National Student Survey
Warwick Business School has been named the top Russell Group business school for Business and Management courses by students in the latest National Student Survey.
Students gave WBS an overall positivity score of 90.1 per cent with the School ranking top among the elite research-intensive Russell Group in at least one key measure for the fifth consecutive year.
Andy Lockett, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Dean of Warwick Business School, said the National Student Survey (NSS) results reflected the School's commitment to delivering a high-quality student experience.
"Students are at the heart of everything we do,” said Professor Lockett. “And so, we are delighted that WBS has once again been recognised by our students as the leading Russell Group business school for Business and Management courses.
“Not only do students enjoy being taught by world-class academics, but they are able to access our dedicated CareersPlus and Employer Relations team. We understand what employers want and are regularly holding roundtables with top firms like Goldman Sachs and PwC to find out the skills and knowledge they need from our graduates.
“WBS is where bold thinkers turn their ambition into action. We teach our students not just to imagine the future – but to make it.”
One of the strongest areas of performance for WBS was Student Voice with a score of 88.8 per cent - a measure of how effectively institutions listen to and act upon student feedback.
The strong NSS scores follow the School being named second in the UK for Business & Management Studies and Accounting & Finance in the recent Complete University Guide 2027 rankings.
The ranking also revealed that 87 per cent of WBS BSc Accounting & Finance graduates and 85 per cent of Business & Management degree holders were in ‘highly skilled employment’ following their studies.
All WBS Undergraduate students have access to one-to-one career coaching, career planning workshops, employer-led events from the likes of EY, L’Oreal, Aston Martin and Johnson & Johnson, and work placements or internships.
National Student Survey showcases work-ready graduates
Mark Johnson, Professor of Operations Management and Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes), said: “The NSS results highlight a culture in which student feedback plays a central role in shaping our programmes and services.
"Our students are partners in the development of their education, and these results demonstrate the value of maintaining that dialogue.
“As a business school, we excel at building the confidence, skills, and ambition needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive job market.
“We will help students learn the mindset and ability to connect the theories they learn with the real world. This philosophy is embedded throughout our programmes and it is why we are the fourth most targeted university by the largest number of top employers.”
