MSc Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation

The global financial landscape is changing. Innovations in fintech, crypto assets and CBDCs (Central bank digital currencies) are creating a complex matrix of challenges and opportunities for financial regulators and practitioners.

As a senior consultant and business analyst working at the bleeding edge of digital innovation in Shanghai, being able to unravel these complexities is vital to the success of the global businesses I work with. Studying the Warwick Business School (WBS) MSc in Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation has exposed me to the latest thinking in the financial sector, equipping me to challenge my preconceived notions and develop new data-driven insights on the biggest questions facing finance industry professionals today.

Learning 100% online affords me the flexibility I need to balance my demanding work schedule with an optimised study experience. WBS’s bespoke learning platform, my.wbs, offers an immersive and well-curated learning experience that is truly second to none.

For me, the biggest take-away so far has been the candid and concrete insights shared by industry professionals on the current state of the global financial industry. Learning from experts who are helping to shape the transformation of global finance, has empowered me to ask different questions and find new ways to translate insights into action in my field.

The programme has also exposed me to a diverse network of professionals from all over the world. Being able to share ideas informed by different international experiences makes for a more enriching learning experience where we all learn from each other.

Currently, I am working on investigating how fintech affects financial development in developing economies. The ideas I have been exposed to so far in the programme have radically changed how I formulate my research questions and approach critical problems.

To anyone considering studying the MSc Global Central Banking and Financial Regulation, take that leap of faith and be part of something truly transformational.
