Championing digital health to tackle global inequality
Bryn Davies knows that real change doesn't come from technology alone. It's how you use it that counts.
After completing his MBA at Warwick Business School, Bryn joined Proximie—a healthtech company on a mission to democratise access to safe surgery. He’s since helped scale the company from a start-up to a global platform used in more than 50 countries, supporting tens of thousands of operations and surgical teams worldwide.

Fighting global disparities in care
But Bryn’s purpose runs deeper than growth. As the company’s Health Equity lead, he collaborates with frontline clinicians to ensure that digital tools don’t just reach new markets, but actually improve patient care. That means working hand-in-hand with local partners in East Africa, building digital communities of practice, and ensuring those on the ground become experts in their own right.
“There are huge disparities in access to surgical care—and a growing tech divide too,” he explains. “But inclusive, intentional innovation can help us close both."
From MBA to meaningful impact
Bryn credits his MBA with giving him the confidence to move beyond traditional career paths. He'd already held a senior role at Smith & Nephew before enrolling, but WBS challenged him to think differently. His dissertation explored how data and software could better connect the healthcare ecosystem—a vision he’s now putting into practice.
Since graduating, he’s taken on roles that fuse commercial innovation with social impact. From corporate entrepreneurship to advising AI health start-ups, Bryn’s career has been anything but conventional.
“You have to be resilient, creative, and willing to leave comfort behind in the pursuit of purpose,” he says. “For me, it’s about scaling myself as much as the solutions I work on.”
Creating a brighter future for young minds
Beyond Proximie, he co-founded Bright Young Dreams—a digital-first charity tackling children’s mental health through scalable, tech-enabled support.
