WBS PhD Students Society: Building community, support and connection
The PhD Students Society at Warwick Business School is a community founded by and for WBS PhD students. Here, the current executive council team shares more information about the society, as well as upcoming opportunities to contribute to the community.
Who we are: A Society by and for WBS PhD Students
Founded in June 2023, the WBS PhD Students Society is a student-led initiative dedicated to supporting the wellbeing, academic development, and community engagement of all PhD students at WBS. The Society aims to look after you and your PhD at WBS.
What we do: Termly events and monthly PhD Life Blogs
We hold termly events to encourage networking and a sense of community. We create a welcoming community for PhD students across all faculties to meet peers, collaborate and share experiences. We organise social gatherings, cultural events and informal meetups to help members relax and integrate into campus life.
We encourage learning beyond research to foster academic and professional development. We prioritise developing skills essential to our academic and personal growth. We organise seminars and workshops to support research skills and career planning.
We host monthly PhD life blogs where students share their experiences during the PhD. These blogs provide a form of inspiration, connection and valuable information for WBS PhD students.
