Professional work placement

You will have the opportunity to take a 12-month work placement, as part of our Undergraduate Partnership Programme, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

This programme involves working in an accounting role with an ICAEW member organisation during the third year of the course. Depending on the organisation, you may also be able to take professional ACA exams during the placement which will form the first year of the ACA training contract. You can work in the UK or overseas, before returning to Warwick Business School for the final year of the course. The programme forms 10% of the overall degree classification.

In addition to working in accounting, our students also take up work placements focusing on finance and consulting. Here are some examples of the companies our students have worked at while on their course:

  • EY
  • ESSO
  • PwC
  • The Walt Disney Company
  • MGH Technology Solutions
  • RSM.

Work experience
