WBS CareersPlus
Our dedicated CareersPlus team provides specialised careers services solely for Warwick Business School students including:

Bespoke employer events organised specifically for our students have seen the likes of EY, L’Oréal, Aldi, Johnson & Johnson, Royal Bank of Scotland, Grant Thornton UK LLP, Accenture and Aston Martin visit Warwick Business School, providing students with great networking opportunities and links to top local, national and international brands.
Upon commencing your course, you will also be able to access our exclusive social media pages on Facebook and LinkedIn, whereby you can view further opportunities, employer events and career resources specifically aimed at WBS students and graduates.
Student Careers & Skills
In addition, you will have access to the University of Warwick’s Centre for Student Careers & Skills who also provide skills workshops, access to job vacancies and further opportunities to meet employers on campus.
Events organised throughout the year include the Business, Finance & Consultancy Fair, Investment Banking Uncovered, Careers in Advertising, Marketing and PR, Careers in Digital Communications, Careers in Politics and Government plus many more.?
The university's job site, MyAdvantage lists thousands of graduate jobs, placement and internship opportunities throughout the year, as well as a range of other useful online resources.

Placement support
In today’s competitive job market you need to stand out from the crowd; employers will take notice if you demonstrate employability skills. Our dedicated CareersPlus team will be on hand to support you by providing advice and guidance on finding a placement and helping you with your application.
Professional work placement
You will have the opportunity to take a 12-month work placement, as part of our Undergraduate Partnership Programme, in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
This programme involves working in an accounting role with an ICAEW member organisation during the third year of the course. Depending on the organisation, you may also be able to take professional ACA exams during the placement which will form the first year of the ACA training contract. You can work in the UK or overseas, before returning to Warwick Business School for the final year of the course. The programme forms 10% of the overall degree classification.
In addition to working in accounting, our students also take up work placements focusing on finance and consulting. Here are some examples of the companies our students have worked at while on their course:

Work experience
You may also be interested in securing a summer internship, or applying for a Spring Week or Insight Programme position at an accountancy, finance, or law firm or in an investment bank. These opportunities are also becoming increasingly popular across other sectors as well. Our dedicated CareersPlus team will be on hand to support you with your application.
Careers events
The Undergraduate Placement Fair is an opportunity for undergraduates to meet with a range of employers from a variety of different sectors, regarding their year in industry placement opportunities that their organisation offers. Although the fair predominantly focuses on placements, employers in attendance will also be available to discuss their spring week, insight programme, summer internship and graduate level roles with first and final year students as well.
