Power & Relationships in Covid-19 - Centre for Public Impact BCG

This event is open to all WBS Current Students and Alumni only!

The Guest Speaker Series is very excited to welcome Nadine Smith, Director at the Centre for Public Impact, a BCG foundation, for the 13th webinar of the series!

With over 20 years experience in Marketing, Communications, Policy and Strategy, Nadine specialises in public sector effectiveness, policy and communications in the UK to increase trust between government and people, and between government and the wider public sector. She has established career inside and outside of government, handled government crises, managed central government press offices, public inquiries, ministerial spokesperson, building and driving strategic communications strategies to improve the way government works for and communicates with those who face the toughest of challenges.

Centre for Public Impact, is a not-for-profit, founded by BCG, that works with governments, public servants, and other changemakers to reimagine government. They help turn ideas into action so that government works for everyone. Their aim is to constantly keep research and conversation going all over the world in order to help leaders and practitioners to develop the know-how and confidence to make government both effective and legitimate.

With this vision in mind, Nadine has designed an exciting workshop-style webinar for WBS, where we will be exploring and discussing viewpoints around power and relationships (as experienced by people in the system that is government) during covid-19. We will be dissecting this question further, "How can we ensure power is genuinely shared in and across places, regions, devolved administrations and throughout the UK now and for the future? Think about the power of : People , Places, Policies, Connections "

You will also have the fantastic opportunity to learn about careers within the social impact sector and in government, and ask questions in our Q&A segments.

Nadine will be sharing a very interesting short blog (2 min-read), which provides a good background for the discussion to all those who sign up! So register now!

NB: Emails from Eventbrite can sometimes go into your Junk Inbox.

This event is organised by the WBS MBA Woment in Business Group.
