We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting Dame Julie Moore for the first Distinguished Lecture in our 2021/2022 Distinguished Lecture Series. Dame Julie will be speaking on the topic "Is it time for a new model of healthcare in the UK?".

Dame Julie Moore is the former Chief Executive of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest and most complex hospital organisations in England, where she acted as CEO from 2006 to 2018. She is widely respected for her leadership and contributions to the sector. During that period, the Health Service Journal consistently ranked her as one of the top CEOs and top clinical leaders in the NHS, as well as an LGBT role model. She is currently Professor of Healthcare Systems at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), a Trustee of the Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund, a Non-Executive Director at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and a board member of the Organising Committee for the Commonwealth Games, as well as undertaking other advisory roles.
