Annual WBS Gillmore Centre Conference

2025 Warwick Business School Gillmore Centre Conference on DeFi & Digital Currencies  - 2 September, 2025 WBS The Shard, London

Organised by the Gillmore Centre for Financial Technology at Warwick Business School.

2025 Keynote Speaker - Christine Parlour, Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley

The conference will be held in person and live streamed at Warwick Business School at the Shard, London 2 September 2025.

Presentations will cover topics from all areas of DeFi and Digital Currencies, including, but not limited to:

  • Optimal design, governance and market efficiency of DeFi Protocols (exchanges, lending protocols, NFTs)
  • Economics of the blockchain (mechanism design, security, and welfare)
  • Financial stability, macroeconomic, and political economy implications of stable coin and CBDC design

We are limited by our in-person capacity and will look to invite up to 60 attendees across academia and industry.  Please register your interest for either in-person or online attendance.

Final confirmations for in-person attendance will be sent by e-mail in August. The event will be live streamed for those we are unable to accommodate in person.
