Sought after: Warwick Business School was ranked third in the UK for Business & Management by The Guardian

Warwick Business School has strengthened its position as one of the UK’s leading destinations for business education in The Guardian University Guide Rankings.

The School was ranked second in the UK for Accounting & Finance and moved up to third for Business & Management. And the University of Warwick has also risen to seventh overall in The Guardian’s new league table.

The strong performance comes after Warwick Business School topped the National Student Survey rankings among Russell Group institutions for the fourth year running.

Andy Lockett, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Dean of WBS, said: “The Guardian ranking results reflect our commitment to delivering world-class education that equips students with the skills and mindset to thrive in a rapidly changing business landscape.

“Our focus on innovation, research excellence, and global engagement ensures that Warwick Business School remains at the forefront of business education in the UK and beyond.

“Our graduates are much sought-after by the biggest companies in the world, such as PwC, Deloitte, Amazon, Microsoft and JP Morgan. We are a School for the Change Makers and we give Change Makers the tools, skills, and support they need to create real impact, right now and in the future.”

The School’s Undergraduate courses are designed with the business world in mind, by offering pathways to professional exam exemptions.

The BSc Accounting & Finance gives students access to modules that can lead to waivers from a number of professional accountancy exams, such as those from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

WBS is also a CFA Program Partner, which means the BSc Accounting & Finance degree covers at least 70 per cent of its Level 1 Candidate Body of Knowledge.

The School’s BSc Management and BSc International Management courses are set to be joined next year by the new BSc Management with Marketing and BSc International Management with Marketing.

Applications are now open for the course starting in September 2026, which has been developed in line with the Chartered Institute of Marketing to ensure that it meets industry requirements.

Students also have the opportunity of doing a placement year alongside their degree to put their studies into practice at leading firms like L’Oreal, Accenture, Gymshark, Chanel, Amazon and Adidas.

Mark Johnson, Professor of Operations Management and Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes), said: “Our Undergraduate programmes are designed to offer unparalleled module choice, relevance and rigour, and these rankings highlight the strength of that model, alongside the dedication of our faculty and professional services teams in delivering an outstanding student experience.

“We are continuously improving our courses and making sure they are up to date with the fast-changing world of business. This helps our graduates find the careers they dream of and hit the ground running in their new roles.”
