Research Interests

Ila's research examines learning and knowing in high-risk and reliability settings through a practice-based lens, alongside innovation implementation in health and social care sectors. She is particularly interested in uncovering how learning, knowing and change accomplished through everyday practices. This focus drives her methodological approach, where she primarily employs qualitative methods—especially ethnography—to explore these questions in depth.
