Biography
I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at Warwick Business School, Warwick University. I have also been a regular research visitor at the Bank of England, in addition to other Central Banks. My research focus is in financial intermediation. My research agenda is to investigate the impact of regulatory constraints and agency problems on the behaviour of bank and non-bank intermediaries and the wider implications for the real economy.
Research Interests
My research focus is financial intermediation. I investigate the impact of regulatory constraints and agency problems on the behaviour of bank and non-bank intermediaries and the wider implications for the real economy. My recent work studies the impact of underexplored and new frictions in environmental sustainability and corporate governance. My work is primarily empirical and aims to study research questions of first-order economic importance with important implications for financial stability and government regulation. I study the cross-section of banks and non-banks, and other underexplored areas, including fintech. In recent work, I examine legal ambiguities and gender conflicts as the rising challenges in the financial intermediation and the financial regulation.
