Lisa is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Accounting Group, Joint Course Director for the BSc Accounting and Finance programme, and Accreditation Director. She holds a PhD in Accounting from Manchester Business School and is a qualified accountant, having gained CPA status in Taiwan. Her research and scholarship expertise centres on the role of accounting information in managerial judgement, performance evaluation and security valuation.

Lisa's teaching expertise spans financial statement analysis and security valuation, performance management, and accounting for managerial decision-making at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and received the 2024–25 WBS CORE Award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching. Lisa joined WBS in 2009, having previously been Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of Liverpool.
