Biography

Sangho Chae is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at Warwick Business School. He previously held academic positions at Tilburg University and Marquette University. His research focuses on supply network structures, particularly the governance role of triadic closure and its implications for innovation, supply chain resilience and corporate misconduct. Sangho is also interested in exploring the factors that instigate changes within supply network structures. His research has been published in the Journal of Operations Management, Journal of International Business Studies and Journal of Supply Chain Management, among others. He has also received notable academic recognitions such as the Journal of Supply Chain Management 2024 Best Paper Award, Best Competitive Paper Award at IPSERA 2025, Chris Voss Best Paper Award at EurOMA 2022 and Harry Boer Best Paper Award at EurOMA 2017. Sangho serves as an associate editor for leading journals in the field of Operations and Supply Chain Management, including the Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management and International Journal of Operations & Production Management. He earned his PhD from Arizona State University, MSc from the University of Manchester and BBA from Yonsei University. Before pursuing his PhD, he worked as a demand planner for Samsung Electronics Italia, S.p.A.
