Introducing the Alumni Empowered Programme

30 July 2026

Alumni Empowered, launching in September, is a dedicated careers programme for those who graduated in the last three years. Here we caught up with Alumni Careers Manager Konstantina Dee to tell us more.

Can you tell us more about the Alumni Empowered programme that we are hearing about, what it is and who it is built for?

Alumni Empowered is our dedicated career support programme designed specifically for WBS alumni within their first three years after graduation. If you graduated in 2024, 2025 or 2026, this is certainly for you.

We recognise that this early post-university period is a significant time of transition. It’s when people take stock, reflect on their goals, and explore new career pathways. Navigating this on your own can feel isolating, especially with today's fast-moving environment, geopolitical shifts, and rapid advances in AI. We created Alumni Empowered to serve as your strategic partner, a community to ensure you feel supported, guided, and connected every step of the way.

That reassurance is so important for early-career professionals. How is the programme structured to deliver that ongoing support?

The programme is built around four core pillars: Coaching, Learning, Networking, and Impact. It runs as a year-long cycle that will repeat annually.

Starting this autumn, we have a comprehensive calendar of monthly masterclasses running right through to the summer. These sessions focus on highly practical, high-impact skills. You will talk about modern CV optimisation, LinkedIn strategies, and leveraging AI in your job search, and also about salary negotiations, interview preparation, resilience, and navigating career pivots. The webinars will have breakouts to ensure alumni connect and support each other.

For maximum flexibility, webinars will be recorded and housed in our resource library on the new Empower platform, allowing alumni to access on-demand digital content whenever they need it.

There’s a key mentorship element included in the framework. Could you share more about that?

Yes! A cornerstone of the programme is our flagship Mentor Boost initiative. This connects our early-career graduates with experienced professionals across our global WBS community. It’s an invaluable way to gain sector insights, practical advice, and real-world perspective from those who have already walked the path. The main feature of Mentor Boost is that it is a single, focused 30-minute conversation designed to help a mentee get clear, unstuck and move forward on a specific issue they are facing right now. We piloted the programme in May and so far, we had great feedback from both our mentees and mentors.

That sounds like a wonderful bridge across the generations of WBS alumni. Speaking of experienced graduates, how can seasoned alumni get involved?

We would warmly welcome input and active participation from our more experienced alumni community! If you’re an established professional, leader, or entrepreneur who wants to give back, we’d love to work with you.

We are actively seeking experienced alumni to join us as mentors, workshop facilitators, and panellists. Sharing your journey and expertise can make a transformative difference for someone just starting out. If you’re interested in collaborating with us, please reach out, we’d be delighted to have you on board, register your interest here.

That’s a fantastic opportunity to give back. So, when does the programme officially launch, and what can attendees expect on day one?

Mark your calendars for 14th September for our launch at The Shard! We’re kicking off with a full day of dedicated career-focused sessions. The launch day will feature everything from 1-on-1 coaching sessions and interactive workshops to keynote talks and networking sessions in the late afternoon.

To ensure everyone in our global community can participate, we’ve designed a hybrid, fully flexible experience:

  • Coaching & Workshops: Offered both in-person and online.
  • Keynote & Panel Sessions: Delivered in a hybrid format, so you can join us online from anywhere in the world.

It sounds like a truly comprehensive initiative. Any final words?

If you graduated in the last three years, please get in touch, register for the launch, and make full use of these resources. We are here for you. And to our experienced alumni, we invite you to help us shape the next generation of WBS leaders.
