More Than a Network: The Value of WBS Alumni Events in 2026

26 March 2026

Meaningful conversations, valuable connections and a lasting impact. That’s what WBS events offer our alumni community and 2026 is already delivering.

February
The year opened in Dubai, where alumni gathered for a panel discussion on cross-cultural leadership and global careers across the GCC. It was an opportunity to reconnect, share insights, and hear from those who are living and working at the intersection of cultures and industries.

Back in London, the Strategy and Consulting Network brought together practitioners at The Shard for Consulting in the Age of AI, an honest examination of how AI is reshaping the profession and what that means for the consultants living through the change.

March
The Finance Network marked a milestone with the 10th China Series, also at The Shard. Against the backdrop of one of China's most turbulent yet record-breaking years, the event brought together experts to examine China's evolving role in global trade.

The day after International Women’s Day, the Women in Business Network hosted a powerful event with two panels: one exploring how women leaders build influence, and another on the role of mentoring, coaching, and sponsorship in shaping careers. Dr Peace Ani, WBS Alum and Ambassador for the Women in Business Alumni Network said: "A room overflowing with powerful voices sharing practical wisdom on leadership, influence, courage, and impact."

March also brought a special online event for participants in the Global Mentoring Programme: a conversation with Professor David Clutterbuck, one of the world's leading thinkers on mentoring. A chance to step back, reflect and reconnect with what great guidance looks like in practice.

At the end of the month, the North America Global Alumni Network hosted its first event in Toronto, where attendees took part in BISSIM - a hands-on business simulation designed to test strategic thinking. The event brought together alumni from a diverse range of industries and marked a strong start to what we hope will become a thriving alumni network in Toronto.
