The WBS Europe Alumni Network officially launches

April saw the official launch of our Europe Alumni Network. The fully-booked event, held at the Shard in London, featured discussions on the fascinating topic of AI and the future of work.

Turnout was exceptionally high with over 100 alumni joining in person and online; It was wonderful to see so many alumni reconnecting with old friends and making new connections throughout the evening.

Our panel consisted of industry experts and WBS alumni Bola Adesina, Blake Bower, and Belinda Djamson, with Vice-Provost, Head of Social Sciences Professor James Hayton chairing. The session was truly engaging with some thought-provoking discussions on subjects including how AI might impact the workplace, the effect of bias in data, and how uptake of AI may differ between large companies and SMEs.

The WBS Europe Alumni Network’s Regional Chair Sanjiv Patel opened and closed the event with insightful remarks on the value of the alumni network and how alumni can give back to the community.
