We are thrilled to announce that 180 Degrees Consulting (180DC) Warwick society has been named as the Best Branch in the World at the 2025 180DC Global Branch Awards, selected from nearly 200 universities worldwide! But who are we, and what do we actually do?

About 180DC Warwick

180DC Warwick is the Warwick branch of the world’s largest student social impact consulting organisation. We support social enterprises, NGOs and charities facing various challenges, from fundraising, digital marketing and expansion strategies. Through our 10-week Project Cycles, our student consultants work with these organisations in identifying current issues, researching solutions, and presenting recommendations and implementation plans. Our diverse projects address the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and are highly credited with a 93% project value and 97% professionalism scores across all projects.

How has Warwick Business School supported us?

For the 2025/26 academic year, we became an affiliated society of WBS, a partnership that has been instrumental in our success. First, we have seen a massive growth in our visibility and the number of students aware of the incredible work that our society does. This was evidenced by the freshers’ week stall and specific events held for WBS students. Second, we have had immense support from the WBS Staff enable our events to run smoothly. Whether this be through hosting speakers, providing advice or support with running sponsor events, the success of our partnership with WBS has been key in winning this award.

Our impact on students

180DC Warwick is not just about impact; it is about building a wider community. Since 2019, we have worked with 500+ students across our flagship Summer and Winter Project Cycles from all disciplines, year groups and socio-economic backgrounds through partnerships with 93% Club, Prosper and Women’s Careers Society. We offer multiple benefits to our student consultants.

Our Consulting Office guides students’ journeys through three development calls throughout our Project Cycle, our Training Session Programme upskills students on relevant knowledge and skills required to lead consulting projects, and our Career Development Programme ensures that students leave 180DC Warwick with greater confidence in starting a career in Consulting.

Alongside this, we harness strong development opportunities, including our annual Case Competition, in-person consulting workshops, and virtual career events. We further engage in connecting students with our wider alumni community, through our advisors who support our students in our Project Cycles, career panels and CV clinics.

Moreover, our social events, including Pub Crawls, an annual Christmas Dinner, and 5-a-side Football gives our students a multitude of opportunities to connect. This has created a positive culture and learning environment, with 100% of students recommending a Project Cycle at 180DC Warwick.

Our impact beyond Warwick

Our impact beyond the university has been significant. This year, we partnered with 6 Consulting and Professional Service companies, providing students access to industry experts through sponsorship events and case workshops. Our strong partnership with WBS

has helped us further target students into consulting, and we have increased visibility through marketing, becoming the most followed 180DC university branch in EMEA.

Alongside this, we organised wider-university initiatives, such as the UK’s largest ever student sustainability competition with over 700 students, an inaugural UK Project Showcase involving five UK branches, and a Global Knowledge Exchange Series collaborating with 25 branches. This demonstrates our global outreach and wider initiatives, enriching student consultants through more accessible opportunities and tailored support.

Things to come

Winning the World’s Best 180DC Branch in 2025 means more than the prize itself; it reflects how much we have transformed in nurturing the next generation of consultants and leaving an impact across our projects and student community here at Warwick and worldwide. We look forward to building upon these strong foundations and enriching students here and beyond in the future!
