How to make the most out of an Open Day
Our next Open Days are running in June and October. Our Open Days are the perfect opportunity to meet Warwick Business School (WBS) staff and students, attend academic sessions, tour the campus, and view the Undergraduate Accommodation.
With our Open Days coming up, we thought it would be good to share some of our top tips so that you can make the most out of attending an Open Day at the University of Warwick.
Book your place at one of our Open Days.
Take part in a campus and accommodation tour
When you arrive at an Open Day, you will see the Warwick Welcome team around campus. You will be able to spot any member of the Warwick Welcome team by their yellow tops that have ‘Warwick Welcome Service’ printed on the back. They are there to answer any questions you may have and help you navigate around campus. They also run regular campus tours between 9:30am – 4:30pm from the bright yellow Campus Tours tent outside the Arts Centre.
At the University of Warwick, there is a wide range of on-campus accommodation. Visitors can drop-in to see open rooms in seven of our halls of residence on both open days between the hours of 9:30am until 4:30pm.
Attend a Course and Career Bookable Information Session at WBS
When you book to attend an Open Day you will have the chance to book onto both course and career focused information sessions at Warwick Business School. These sessions are hosted by either the course director or careers coach and will give you an insight into the course and careers services available at WBS. This gives you the opportunity to find out about the course content and structure, what is like studying at Warwick, the student support available and you get the chance to ask any questions.
Did you know that as a Warwick Business School student you get access to the WBS CareersPlus team as well as the University of Warwick’s Centre for Student Careers and Skills?
Unable to book a Course or Career Information Session? Attend a WBS Information Drop-in
As well as bookable sessions, we also offer drop-ins, as we understand that not everyone will know exactly when they will arrive at the Open Day. For our October Open Days we have drop-in sessions running in the WBS Building from 10am until 3pm on both days. The drop-ins are hosted by the Undergraduate Team and Student Ambassadors. We try to make sure that a student ambassador attends every drop-in so you can ask them any questions about being a student at WBS.
Get a feel for the campus
On campus you will find a bustling atmosphere with excellent facilities and many activities for students to take part in. If you would like to find out more about the student societies or the sports facilities, there are information sessions running on both days that you can book. You will have the option to do this once you have booked your place at an Open Day.
There will also be an Open Day Information Fair taking place between 9am – 4pm in the Rootes Building, where a range of student societies and other teams who contribute to the student experience at Warwick will be there to answer any questions.
Finally, make the most of your time at the University of Warwick. If the weather is nice then why not explore the 750-acre campus. If you have some time to spare in-between information sessions then visit one of our 12 drink and food outlets such as WBS Café.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
