Behavioural Science in Practice

Who is the programme for?

Behavioural Science in Practice has helped participants design and deliver new behaviourally-informed projects aimed at helping their customers or users, reset the way they engage with their employees, and establish new behavioural science teams within their organisations.

Some professionals also attend simply because they are interested in the field and want to know how to apply the theoretical insights they have heard about into a practical business context. Whether you have previously taken other behavioural science courses UK-wide or are entirely new to the discipline, this programme is built for commercial application.

Previous participants have included:

  • Marketing Directors for multi-national firms
  • Economists within government organisations
  • Learning and Development Professionals
  • Change and Transformation specialists

Whatever your motivation for attending, everyone comes away from the programme with a strong understanding of behavioural science literature and theory, alongside a set of practical tools and techniques you can take back to your own work and apply immediately.

Where could Behavioural Science in practice take your career?

Unlike traditional Behavioural Science courses that focus purely on theory, this programme is designed for direct business impact. You will not just learn about behavioural science; you will learn how to do it.

Career advancement and organisational development are at the heart of the programme. You will leave with a drafted intervention for a live problem within your own sector, having refined it alongside leading experts.

Past participants have returned to their organisations equipped to:

  • Redesign customer journeys: Reduce friction and increase conversion rates.
  • Structure internal communications: Significantly boost employee engagement and alignment.
  • Develop public policy interventions: Gently nudge organisations toward healthier or more sustainable choices.

Whether you are comparing behavioural science courses UK-wide or weighing up whether you need a full degree in behavioural science, this executive programme offers the practical, high-level tools to drive measurable results immediately.

Specific entry requirements

As this is a highly interactive executive programme rather than a full degree in behavioural science, we value professional experience over strict academic prerequisites. You do not need to hold a prior behavioural science degree to succeed.

However, as the programme is conducted entirely in English, all participants are expected to be able to understand and actively contribute to complex discussions. If you are a non-native speaker of English but have been educated entirely in English, this may satisfy the University's language requirements.
