MSc Management students enjoying themselves at Warwick Business School

Transformative: The Financial Times found WBS MSc Management graduates have the biggest salary increase in the UK

Warwick Business School’s MSc Management has been ranked second in the UK in the Financial Times’ latest ranking.

The School is also ranked number one in the UK for salary increase, with the Financial Times calculating that WBS MSc Management graduates see a 62 per cent increase between their first job after completing the course and their current salary, three years after finishing.

It means the School is ranked 40th in the world in the Financial Times Masters in Management 2025 ranking, with WBS rated 12th globally for the career progress of its graduates.

Andy Lockett, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Dean of WBS, said: “We are delighted to see our MSc Management recognised as one of the top programmes in the UK. Rising to second place nationally in the Financial Times ranking is a testament to the exceptional quality of our teaching, the ambition of our students, and the strength of our global alumni network.

“Our focus remains firmly on delivering a transformative experience that equips students with the skills, insights, and confidence to lead in a rapidly evolving business landscape. The fact that we continue to lead the UK in salary uplift for graduates is a clear indicator of the value our programme delivers.

“Combined with our recent rise into the world’s top 20 of the Financial Times Executive Education Open ranking and into the QS global top 10 for Executive MBAs, this recognition reinforces the School’s position at the forefront of business education, both in the UK and internationally.”

The one-year MSc Management blends core business disciplines with a wide range of elective modules, allowing students to tailor their learning to their career goals. Core modules are designed to mirror today’s challenges for managers by combining different disciplines, such as Strategies for the Global Economy that brings strategy and economics together, and operations and marketing merged into Customer Value Management.

Students can choose to specialise in Entrepreneurship and have the option to include a self-organised internship as part of their studies and participate in international elective modules held at partner schools abroad.

Warwick Business School has strong links with top global employers such as Amazon, Bank of China, Bytedance, JLR, LVMH, and Mercedes Benz, and Warwick is consistently ranked among the top six UK universities targeted by leading graduate employers. The School’s dedicated careers team offers tailored support, coaching, and employer networking opportunities to help students transition into these top global companies.
