Appy days: The new app will allow MBA applicants to get to know each other and WBS

Warwick Business School has formed a strategic partnership with CampusConnect, a bespoke online community provider, to transform the onboarding journey for MBA candidates.

Graeme Morgan, Recruitment Manager at WBS, said: “The CampusConnect platform provides us with a great opportunity to help our MBA candidates to get to know WBS and understand the values of the School.

“WBS is for the Change Makers and wants candidates to grasp what that means on the CampusConnect platform by talking to other candidates, staff and our alumni.

“At WBS we provide the tools and knowledge to become Change Makers, where people leave with not only the latest research and theories, but with the practical skills and mindset to make a positive impact on the world.

“The CampusConnect platform will allow us to show candidates how the Change Maker journey works and the benefits of joining the WBS community from the moment they apply.”

The WBS MBA community app

The creation of a bespoke MBA candidate community marks a shift in how WBS engages with prospective candidates. In addition to allowing them to engage meaningfully with each other for the first time, this unique service will provide a platform for professional connections and give the School greater influence over the candidate community experience.

Declan Sweeney, Co-Director of CampusConnect, said: “CampusConnect for business schools is designed specifically to suit the needs of this market. We’ve built bespoke features such as professional profiles that facilitate networking.”

The partnership underscores the dedication of WBS to deliver an immersive and personalised experience that fits with its ethos of academic excellence and industry relevance.

WBS will access a comprehensive suite of service components, from capacity building to cross-unit engagement and community intelligence. This forward-thinking community approach supports scalable growth, informs strategic decisions, and cultivates future WBS alumni and industry partnerships.

Karen Barker, Director of Stakeholder Engagement at WBS, said: “Partnering with CampusConnect is an exciting next step in the School’s mission to build valuable networks among our MBA offer holders.

“As a School for the Change Makers, we look to challenge the status quo with an entrepreneurial spirit and partnering with CampusConnect is another example of our relentless desire for excellence. The platform will be a key enabler for becoming an active part of the WBS community from the get-go.”

Moreover, the WBS app is an extension of the School’s brand, aligning seamlessly with its values and identity to create a cohesive experience for all MBA candidates. Providing a community that sits within the WBS brand ecosystem ensures that valuable candidates remain engaged, fostering deeper connections.

Karen added: “We enjoy the strong collegiate and friendly spirit the CampusConnect team brings and very much welcome their willingness to be an extension of the WBS team.

“We all share the goal of enhancing the WBS student experience through real-time community exchange of knowledge, ideas and connections and look forward to what I am sure will become a strong and high-energy partnership.”
