Global Online MBA (2025-2027)

Why did you choose Warwick Business School for your MBA?

Out of all the programmes I considered, Warwick Business School stood out for its well-rounded approach to learning and its strong reputation. The balance between theory, practical application, and personal development made it the right choice for me.

How have you found online learning?

I have found the online learning platforms at Warwick Business School, such as my.wbs and SmartStage, to be very slick and user-friendly. They add real value to the learning process and make it easier to stay engaged and organised throughout the programme.

What elements of the programme have you valued the most?

While I have enjoyed all elements of the programme, the Residential Weeks have been my favourite by far. They provided the opportunity to meet fellow students and staff in person, which significantly strengthened relationships within the cohort. The face-to-face learning was a welcome accompaniment to online study, and the networking opportunities with such a high-calibre cohort were invaluable. I left each Residential Week feeling more motivated.

What is it like studying for an MBA?

Studying for an MBA is tough, and finding time alongside work and life commitments can be challenging. That said, Warwick’s setup, its support systems, resources, and structured approach makes success far more attainable than I had expected.

The content of the lessons is extremely well-crafted, making it incredibly engaging. The online platforms create a real sense of community, even when studying remotely. You can see what others are thinking through their comments and contribute your own thoughts, keeping discussions active. This interaction is a key part of the learning experience and honestly keeps it fun.

Tell us about the community at WBS

The WBS community has been a real highlight of the MBA for me. I have met friends for life, and the cohort is incredibly welcoming and generous, which makes the learning experience both smoother and more enjoyable. The collaborative culture encourages open discussion, shared learning, and mutual support.

What did you hope to get out of our programme?

I hoped to gain a stronger academic grounding in management theory and practical frameworks that I could apply directly in my work life. In reality, the programme has exceeded these expectations. The academic knowledge and theory have been a significant gain for me, and I have developed a much deeper understanding of how organisations function in practice.

However, I didn’t anticipate the opportunities for self-reflection and personal development. I really value that WBS recognises the MBA as far more than just academic study. The programme takes a holistic, full-circle approach which is much more impactful. It’s very clear to see the School and staff care deeply about the programme.

Do you have any advice for future MBA candidates?

My advice to anyone considering an MBA would be simple: do it! While it requires significant commitment, it’s completely worth it! For me, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
