Born in Mumbai and raised in the UK, I come from a diverse background with a rich heritage and a family of engineers and management professionals. I graduated with a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering and currently work as a Digital Consultant at Reply, focussing on strategic product delivery and digital transformation for global clients. I also hold a Professional Scrum Master II certification and have over three years of project management and account management experience.
Why I chose to purse an MBA
Before applying for an MBA, I knew I wanted to take the next step in my career to deepen my strategic thinking, broaden my understanding of global business and develop as a leader who can drive innovation and positive change. Speaking to several Warwick MBA students reinforced my decision. I was inspired by how the programme brings together a truly diverse cohort from different industries, cultures and professions. I knew that learning alongside such a group would give me perspectives and experiences that would take years to gain in the workplace.
Why Warwick Business School?
I chose Warwick Business School because of its mission to create Change Makers and its world class teaching, helping professionals grow both personally and professionally. Now that I am an MBA candidate, I am already seeing the benefits of working alongside such a dynamic cohort.
Collaborating with peers from so many backgrounds is constantly challenging my thinking and encouraging me to approach problems in new ways. The blended learning format of the Accelerator MBA fits perfectly with my professional role and allows me to apply insights from the programme immediately.
Learning from diversity
Of all the elements, I value the cohort experience the most. Discussions around case studies expose me to diverse perspectives and ways of thinking that greatly enrich my learning. The wider WBS community is equally welcoming and supportive. I have already attended events at The Shard and connected with MBA students from other cohorts.
Applying learning in real-world scenarios
The MBA is not only about structured modules but also about the opportunities to put learning into practice. One of the highlights so far was winning the Management Consulting Simulator Challenge.
This immersive competition brought together participants from different MBA cohorts to work on a realistic business case, analyse client data and present strategic solutions under time pressure. It was a high energy experience that tested problem solving, teamwork and communication skills, and showed how Warwick creates spaces to practise and refine these capabilities in real world scenarios.
The core modules themselves are designed to be interactive and practical. In my Operations Management module we stepped outside the classroom to research Sustainable Wine Solutions, a business committed to environmentally friendly wine distribution. We gathered real data, applied frameworks like the Four V’s and the Six Performance Dimensions and examined how sustainability and operations align in practice. This was complemented by lively in-class discussions and the ability to keep learning on the go, ensuring theory is always tied to application.
Studying at The Shard: A unique advantage
The Shard is more than just a place to study – it’s a hub for connections, collaboration and celebration and it has added a fantastic dimension to my MBA experience. London has always been one of my favourite cities and having the opportunity to learn in such an iconic location with excellent networking events, competitions and talks hosted by WBS has made the experience even more rewarding.
The WBS ten-year anniversary at The Shard was a proud moment for the community and a reminder of the value that comes from learning in the heart of London. Being surrounded by professionals from leading organisations and having those spontaneous conversations that spark new ideas is one of the great strengths of the programme.
Insights beyond the classroom
Warwick also offers a wealth of optional talks and panels that extend learning beyond the classroom, and networking is a key element of the Accelerator MBA.
The Korn Ferry “Shape Your Future” event at The Shard provided the opportunity to learn from industry experts on topics like strategic career planning, AI’s role in recruitment and pay transparency. Insights from these sessions have already informed my approach to career development and leadership.
At the “Leading Sustainability in Tough Times” event I gained new perspectives on how organisations can embed sustainability into core strategy and reframe it as part of a transformational economy.
At the Harvard Business Review AI event I was challenged to think about artificial intelligence not just as an assistant but as a co-thinker, a partner in shaping ideas and innovation. These sessions connect students and alumni with leaders who are shaping industries and tackling global challenges, and they encourage us to explore how these insights can be applied in our own work.
Unexpected lessons from unexpected places
The diversity of the cohort also enriches learning outside formal study. A visit to Phillips in Mayfair opened my eyes to the parallels between the art market and business strategy. Discussions about value, branding and market dynamics showed how principles from one industry can inform thinking in another. Seeing how creativity and commerce interact in the art world offered lessons that are equally relevant to technology, consumer goods or services.
Balancing work, life, and study
Balancing work and study so far has been very manageable. The flexible structure of the programme, clear assignment expectations and supportive faculty are helping me make the most of this experience. SmartStage® technology enhances the learning, making online sessions feel highly collaborative and engaging.
Final Thoughts: Why the Warwick MBA is worth it
For anyone considering an MBA my advice is simple. It is already proving to be an incredibly rewarding experience and the knowledge and network I am building through WBS are having a positive impact on both my career and personal growth. The Warwick Accelerator MBA is giving me the skills, perspectives and confidence to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
