Biography

Jeongsun is a PhD candidate in Strategy and International Business at Warwick Business School (WBS). She holds an MSc in International Business from WBS, where she built a strong foundation in global strategy and sustainability. Her research examines how corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate social irresponsibility (CSI) influence non-financial performance in the context of cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&As). She is particularly interested in understanding the mechanisms through which CSR and CSI shape stakeholder perceptions and the social legitimacy of multinational enterprises (MNEs) operating across diverse institutional environments.

She has presented her work at leading international conferences, including the Academy of International Business (AIB). In 2025, she was awarded the Michael Z. Brooke Prize for Best Doctoral Paper at the 51st AIB UK & Ireland Chapter Conference. In addition to her research, she contributed to teaching at WBS as a Senior Graduate Teaching Assistant, having tutored the International Business Strategy module for undergraduate students.
