Biography
Sedigheh Monavari is a PhD candidate in Quantitative Marketing at Warwick Business School. Her research sits at the intersection of econometrics, particularly causal inference, and computational methods, focusing on how digital platform design shapes consumer behaviour and welfare. Her substantive research examines how platform interventions affect consumers and other market participants. In commercial settings, she uses quasi-experimental analysis of large-scale transaction data and meta-analytic synthesis to investigate how promotional design influences consumer decisions and market outcomes. In digital health, she studies how different types of nudges shape user engagement and behaviour. Her methodological research focuses on the use of large language models in survey-based research, developing approaches that integrate synthetic and human responses to improve statistical inference when primary data are limited.
She is currently on the academic job market for 2026–27. Further information about her research, working papers, and academic activities is available on her personal website.
