Biography

Dr Salimeh Pour Mohammad is an Associate Professor of Business Analytics (Teaching Focused). She is also a Curriculum Designer for business analytics and management courses. Her PhD specialisation is in Business Analytics, Social Networks Analytics, Knowledge Cybernetics, and Recursive Performance. She also holds an MBA and a first-class BSc in Pure Mathematics.

She joined the University of Warwick Business School in August 2023. From the University of Warwick, she serves the wider academia as a:
* Reviewer/Assessor of the National Teaching Fellow Scheme (NTFS) of Advance HE
* Panel Judge for ATL awards at Association of Learning Technologies.
* Aurora Mentor for Female Leadership Development Initiative of Advance HE
* External Examiner for MSc Business Analytics at the University of Bristol Business School.
* Co-organiser of Warwick Education Conference (WEC)
* Assessor of Warwick Teaching Excellence Awards (WATE Judge) at the University of Warwick
* Panel member of AI in Teaching and Learning at Warwick Business School
* Co-lead for Impact and Policy subgroup of WHIEA Education Fund project (Barriers to the use of AI in Education)

Salimeh is a Senior Fellow (SFHEA) of Advance HE, passionately supporting junior colleagues in their academic development journeys. Her own teaching style is based on a systemic teaching, learning and assessment approach that she developed at the University of Hull Centre of Systems Studies. She applies some of the second-order cybernetics principles and management science to facilitate viable and effective educational gains for students and Institutions. She creates new management options through designing and implementing interventions. She also employs recursive performance improvements at various interconnected education management levels.

Before joining WBS, she was a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director of MSc Business Analytics at the University of Exeter Business School. She was also a member of the University-Wide Data Science Education Committee at the University of Exeter, as well as the Accreditation and Ranking Group and Academic Conduct Group at Exeter Business School. Before that, Salimeh worked as a lecturer for UG and PG programs at the University of West London Business School, where she led management courses in four international campuses (UAE, China, Cyprus and London). Prior to that, she worked at the University of Law and the University of Hull.

Before her academic career, Salimeh worked in management roles in the private sector. Her industry experience in the UK is in the capacity of service quality management in social and healthcare organisations. Internationally, she has worked as an international business analyst for operations management, working with suppliers from Germany, Italy, and China.

Research Interests

Salimeh is a reviewer of the British Journal of Management as well as a reviewer for the Academy of Management Conference. She is happy to supervise PhD, DBA, MBA and MSc students with their dissertations, whether in Warwick Business School or any UK/International university, collaborating as part of a dissertation supervisory team in areas such as:
