At Warwick Business School, we support the doctoral community with a fully-funded PhD in Business & Management or Finance & Economics, including a two year MRes to equip you with all the skills you need to progress to your PhD research.

Our doctoral students contribute exponentially to the intellectual vibrancy of  Warwick. Whether generating groundbreaking findings, offering new theoretical insights, or advancing practice-based innovations, we want to ensure their work is visible and celebrated. That's why we've dedicated a new feature to highlight their work through our PhD Student Profile showcase.

This not only gives PhD students the opportunity to highlight their research interests, current projects, achievements and professional experience, but also invites deeper engagement with those behind the research. It is a gateway to understanding the evolving questions, innovations, and ambitions of students studying a PhD at Warwick.

Interdisciplinary Insights

"I am a big enthusiast for interdisciplinary research - particularly interested in the area of mental health and emotional wellbeing and have been working as a Co-PI with the Warwick Medical School on a field based project to investigate the effects of peer networks on pupils wellbeing interventions, funded by the Health Spotlight Small Grant Scheme Award for PhD/ECRs 2024-2025." - Irsa Ajmal

 

Developing Expertise

"During his MRes and PhD, Mohammad has developed expertise in computational text analysis and causal inference, methods he applies to understand how language reveals psychological patterns in consumers. His published research examines emotional bias in financial decision-making, and his current work studies how the way people communicate shapes both interpersonal outcomes and broader market dynamics, alongside developing new methods for drawing reliable causal conclusions from real-world business data." - Mohammad Hosein Tavakoli
